Hey everyone! My name is Kristina Nikolaj. I'm a 23 year old English major at Oakland University. There are 3 things I absolutely love in this world: Food, the city life and trying new things. If you take each of these ingredients, put them in a pot and stir it, you'll get my blog.
Where is the one place you can go to feel safe and secure? The one place you can escape the disdain of society and all its ugliness? THEE one place full of peace and purity? Yeah, that place is not called Detroit, that place is called church. Detroit may not be a front page of a travel magazine worthy city, it may not even be a last page of a travel magazine worthy city, but it's my city and if I owned a travel magazine, it would be more than worthy. My goal is to search the nooks and crannies of Detroit and sweep up the hidden treasures people tend to overlook. My goal is to put Motown back on the map from places to eat to activities you've never done or even heard of.
If you actually take some time to check these places out, I promise you will not be disappointed!
